Can You Take a Puppy Home after 6 Weeks?

Veterinarians and expert breeders recommend that the earliest age for separating mother and pups is between 8 and 9 weeks. This is because puppies are a lot like human babies: they rely on their mother for both nourishment and learning.

Puppies are socialized during the first 8 weeks by their mother and siblings, along with some appropriate human contact. This leads to healthy relationships in their new homes.

At Von Florida German Shepherds, we have several options available. As a first option, you can meet your new puppy at an early age, make a deposit and take him or her home after 8 weeks old.

If you really want to buy today though, not a problem! We have several adorable older puppies ready to go.
